The reason why the US are militarily involved in the Middle East remains related to gas and oil. They no longer depend on Saudi oil, BUT they want the Qatari and Saudi petrodollars to dominate over Iranian oil and its pipeline running from Iran right up to Syrian ports. This by the way is why the US are present in Syria. For the same reason which is the domination of petrodollars, they want to control the oil coming from Irak and this is why they are present in Irak.  They want to prevent Russian oil pipelines to go through Syria and this is the second reason why they are in Syria. The reason for the proxy war in Ukraine is also economic and ultimately also related to the danger of de-dollarization. They want to weaken Russia. They provoked the war so that Russia would intervene in Ukraine. This would then justify sanctions and justify the Nordstream sabotage. Israel must also be supported because they bomb the Syrian and Lebanon ports. Also, Israel provides a channel for economic relations with Saudi Arabia. Similar considerations concern the involvement of USA in the China Sea. They want to confront China in order to weaken China economically. All in all, the US are involved in wars for economic domination and the fear of de-dollarization. By weakening Russia and China and by maintaining the domination of petrodollars, the USA wish to maintain their economic domination over the world and maintain the dollar as THE international reserve currency. This is crucial because otherwise, de-dollarization would put the US in a very difficult financial situation.
